Sorry I have been gone for so long! I was away for 5 days in Aruba (without wifi) which explains the lack of tweets and blog posts! But now I’m back, and I took a ton of pictures which I cannot wait to share with you guys! I’m calling this series of blog posts Island Chic, since there was a projection on one of the tables in the hotel that said Authentic Island Chic:
I couldn’t resist calling these posts that! So, we landed, and when I stepped foot outside the airport, this was one of the first things I saw (besides all the palm trees): Turns out this saying is plastered everywhere (more pics of that to come). We spent the rest of the day at the pool (as we did most days) and then went back to the room to shower and change before going for dinner. Here’s what I wore the first night:
Top: Necessary Clothing (in NYC), Skirt: American Eagle, Necklace: Street vendor in NYC, Earrings: American Eagle, Clutch: LOFT, Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs, Bracelets stacked next to watch: Bauble Bar & BCBG “Dream” (via TJ Maxx), Sandals: Nine West Outlet, Nails: Essie Bikini So Teeny, Toes: Essie Tart Deco, & 3 Stacked Blue Bracelets: Street fair in NYC
Here are some close-ups of the view from the balcony in our room:
Sorry some of the pictures are a little bit blurry!
That’s all! I love this shirt (more specifically, the back of the shirt) — got it very recently at Necessary Clothing in NYC (went on a major shopping spree with my mom, this was just one of the many finds). Super cute store, very trendy items for inexpensive prices! Found a few other pieces that you will see featured in other posts!
Check back soon for Day 2!
