I think I’m among tens of thousands (if not millions) of girls who were pining to go to New York Fashion Week! As much as I would love my life to revolve around going to shows and reviewing the collections, I’m still in school and have to focus on that for now. That being said, I couldn’t just ignore fashion week altogether, and my twitter feed often kept me updated (it also made me partially sad, since the city isn’t too far away from me and I couldn’t go!). I found a bunch of pictures and compiled some of my favorite looks for the rest of you who didn’t get the opportunity to go to Fashion Week this year too. Hopefully next year I will find myself at one of the shows!!
Lacoste – I love the color combination of the dress paired with the jacket! So sleek and modern.
Tibi – The intricate pattern on the dress is so cool and black is just one of those colors you can’t go wrong with.
Rebecca Taylor – The structure of the dress is amazing and I love the print as well as the colors. All the details of the dress, and of course the shoes too, seem feminine, girly, and just absolutely fabulous to me.
Altuzarra – I think the shoes speak for themselves. Absolutely love the statement they make. Can’t say I would ever wear them, but love how they look paired with that specific outfit. The print is a bit abstract and I love the black and white with the lilac color.
Monique Lhuillier – This dress is absolutely gorgeous: the silhouette, fit, and of course the beautiful print come together perfectly.
Prabal Gurung – You would think this would be too much, but it comes off completely balanced and while I could never see myself in something like this, I actually love it.
Jill Stuart – The neckline is so pretty and the lace is so delicate and chic.
DVF – I NEED these shoes. (Too bad I have a feeling they are way out of my price range)
Obviously, these aren’t my own pictures, and they are from a variety of locations, but mainly wgsn.tumblr.com. Make sure to go check out that site, their coverage of fashion week was unbelievable and I virtually got to be at fashion week by looking at everything posted there!
