I was thinking about how I’ve gained so many new blog readers in the past few months. Therefore, it might be surprising for those who are new to The Fashion Newcomer to know that I’ve been actually blogging for over two years! Anyways, I thought it could be fun to travel back into the archives and show you guys what I was up to a year ago (and of course, my reactions to those posts!):
November 24 (exactly one year ago!!) / Holiday Happenings: JCrew
So I still hands down love all of these things. JCrew can just do no wrong, am I right? I actually now own that “Blah Blah Blah” tee and wear it all the time (there’s now a Blah Blah mug that I absolutely love and want so much!). The rest I will still be lusting after…
November 25 / Holiday Happenings: Lululemon
I guess I was on a roll with these Holiday Happenings posts, huh? Anyways, this one is on Lululemon is a bit more irrelevant now – I don’t really go in there too often! I actually did end up getting that headband, but I never wear it because headbands kind of irritate me. I think I was sucked into the Lululemon appeal and just wanted to buy something – and headbands are the cheapest things they sell!
December 8 / The Fashion Newcomer 2.0
This is one of my favorite posts I’ve ever done. It was the start to what I would call my “short essay” posts. The content of this specific throwback post still holds true (see an extended thought on that here). I think I’ve definitely progressed a ton in terms of where my blog is at – I’ve been more open about it with everyone I talk to, and I even went to a conference over the summer where I got to mingle with tons of other bloggers.
What a headline I had there (soooo long!). I love Neutral Eyeshadow Palettes and I think they would make great gifts for this holiday season. Unfortunately, I got the Naked3 and I don’t think it was worth the hype! I got sucked in and bought all three Naked palettes, but if you are looking to purchase one now, I really don’t think all three are necessary.
What do you think of your old blog posts? Sound off in the comments and leave me some links to throwback posts!
