Remember the post I wrote a few weeks ago about being in a Blogging Slump? After I wrote that, I think I magically thought everything would return to normal and that I would be 100% inspired and ready to whip out blog posts extremely easily.
Fast forward to now: that was the most unrealistic assumption I could’ve made. Blogging – or at least blogging and creating fresh content – is hard! I feel like, to some extent, I’ve sort of burned myself out. That’s not to say that I don’t still love blogging and everything associated with it; it is just hard to keep with everything going on. Besides posting, there’s the whole issue of having a social media presence. Scheduling tweets can be just as important as scheduling posts… hence why there is a major silence on my Twitter. I also have been annoyed that I haven’t has had much time to comment on posts… I read so many blogs, and I hate that other bloggers don’t get to know how much I appreciate what they do.
Obviously I don’t mean to make excuses for myself as to why I have been a little MIA – just keep in mind that while other bloggers you may follow can blog full time, blogging is just one of the many things I have to keep up with. Again – I know I am wrong for making excuses as I firmly believe that people make time for what they want to make time for, but I’m just trying to create some perspective for you all…
So what have I been up to lately? Schoolwork (despite the fact that I’m a second semester senior), hearing from colleges and trying to decide (more on that soon!), watching Netflix (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, anyone?) and honestly, just relaxing and trying to soak up my senior year. I’m on break this week so I am going to try to schedule as much as I can!
