Summer Bag Inventory

I was trying to figure out what to do for today’s post when inspiration finally struck to do a Summer Bag Inventory. I own each of the bags below and I thought I could let the bags do the talking as to what I’ll be up to over the next few weeks. These are all great examples of fashion and function, which is crucial when you are traveling.

We all know that any time I can mention a handbag in a post of mine, I go for it. When I can mention five bags well – that is something I must do. So here we go…

Summer Bag Inventory FINAL

1 // I’ve always admired these Lesportsac backpacks – they are functional and from my understanding, extremely durable. My mom found the classic black on sale at Lord & Taylor and I knew it would be great to have for traveling (I’ll be heading to Puerto Rico and Colorado!), college orientation, and to take to college next year. It’s pretty big and I love the sleek look of the black patent style.

2 // We all know I am a HUGE Rebecca Minkoff fan. I have this purse in a dark hunter green and actually get so much use out of it – more than I ever could’ve imagined. The hunter green goes with navy, gray, and black, so it suits all of my color schemes. The size of this purse is perfect to fit my wallet, sunglasses (in a case!), phone, and mophie charger. I could not recommend this bag enough. This is pretty much my everyday bag –  as I said, it fits all my essentials so if you see me out and about, I’m usually carrying this with me.

3 // My second Rebecca Minkoff favorite is hands down this bag, which I actually have in the light blue color pictured above. This bag is super versatile and I love the light color – again, it’s a neutral without it directly being so. The bag is functional and perfect to sling around and not worry about. I’m a huge fan of the crossbody, and this is crafted to perfection. I love taking this bag with me into New York City  – I’ll definitely be headed there for a few day trips throughout the summer.

4 // This Sam Edelman bag was a fun find by my mom. I absolutely LOVE it. It reminds me of the Mar Y Sol Bag that so many bloggers are obsessing over – but if you can find it on sale, then it is slightly cheaper! I’m a huge fan of Sam Edelman for shoes, but I of course welcome their other accessories as well! I’m heading to Puerto Rico later in the summer and you can bet this is coming with me as a carry-on and poolside/beachside bag for my mom and I to share! I love the colors and overall design, plus the big size definitely is a plus.

5 // I think you can see the trend here that I’m a big fan of Lesportsac when it comes to travel gear (and you can read more about that here!). Lesportsac is so durable – I’ve had bags from them for years but decided to get this black bag to match the backpack and just to shake things up with the current one I have. I love using this bag because it fits SO much stuff and is great as a carry-on.

If you want to see where to buy the bags, click on the picture link above – it will take you straight to Polyvore where there are links to each and every bag!

What are your summer bags? I’d love to see other bloggers do this post!

xoxo, Jamie

LOVE this! I’m a bag hag, I hoard purses. While I only bought cheap purses when I was younger, I’ve become a fan of better made, more expensive bags as I’ve gotten older. If you’re headed off to college I highly recommend a longchamp. I wasn’t to keen when I first saw them become popular, but when I needed a tote for school and realized it would match all my leggings (lol) I made the splurge. It’s extremely durable and can be used as a purse or school bag. I also love my Rebecca Minkoff Diagonal Zip in mint

Thank you so much Kat!! I will definitely look into the Longchamp. I know how durable the brand is (my mom is obsessed!) so I definitely want to invest in one for all my legging outfits as well (hahaha). I will also check into the Rebecca Minkoff Diagonal Zip. I love Rebecca Minkoff – seriously so obsessed! Thank you so much for commenting, I really appreciate it :)
