Spicing up School Supplies

Knock Knock is one of my all time favorites when it comes to office supplies of any sort. You may be asking, “Haven’t we gone over this before?” The answer is yes – I’ve posted about Knock Knock here and here and I absolutely can’t get enough! The brand is known for their notebooks, journals, pads, etc. with personality. When it comes to shopping for supplies, I always try to find the cutest patterns and prints. With Knock Knock, I get a combination of character, functionality, and attractiveness. It’s so rare to find all of those three traits wrapped into one!

I subscribe to the Knock Knock Newsletter (and you should too – new members get 20% off a purchase of $50!) so when I saw the brand came out with these new Edge Notebooks, I had to get my hands on them. There are three variations with the words “Ideas,” “Blah,” and “Whatever” – so perfect! I’m a huge fan of the word “Blah” (I have a phone case and a shirt with it repeated over and over) and “Ideas” seemed so fitting for brainstorming blog posts.

Besides just choosing Knock Knock to spice up your school supplies, I suggest decorating with stickers! I’m a huge fan of DIY (despite the fact that I’m not that great at it). Stickers are such an easy way to spice up plain covers. These Knock Knock notebooks are so fun on the sides, so I wanted to add something to the front.

Processed with VSCOcam with f2 presetI added some stickers to the covers – all from Brandy Melville and of course, the classic whale from Vineyard Vines. I know that Brandy Melville may not be the best store when it comes to shopping for clothes (lots of controversy there), but I love their free stickers. There are a few stores near me so I always pop in and see what they have. I hate to admit this, but I typically stockpile stickers – the sticker that says New York and has a bit of a skyline is so old, but I took at least 20 of them when I first originally found it!

I know that there are so many other options when it comes to stickers – I’ve heard good things about the Target Dollar Spot Stickers (despite the fact that whenever I go, there is a complete lack of stickers). I have also purchased stickers from Red Bubble, which has fun stickers you can get to reflect your personality.

Above is a quick look at some of the stickers I’ve purchased from Red Bubble – for those who don’t know, Beyonce Pad Thai is a Mindy Project reference (one of my favorite TV shows!). I absolutely love the avocado too, because I’m a little obsessed with anything avocado. The others are also favorites, with a fun Big Bang Theory Reference, the SNL stage, and one of my favorite emojis. I have so many more that reference other shows (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, 30 Rock, Seinfeld) and other things like a macaron sticker, a nutella sticker… the list goes on and on. I can’t wait to decorate more supplies with them!

I’m so obsessed with these notebooks – I can’t wait to start using them in full force! What do you think?

I am a loyal fan of this brand and do not advertise anything on The Fashion Newcomer that I do not fully back and believe in. I’m the same way with stickers, I stockpile them because I want to use them for something special. I finally used a bunch of my stickers and decorated my binder for school. I love how it turned out! I’ve never heard of Knock Knock but I love how these notebooks look.
