Clarisonic Mia Deep Pore Review

Been a long time, and I’m so sorry for that! This post certainly won’t make up for the absence, but at least it is a start to getting back to it. College has been busy (as much as I hate this word, it seems fitting here) as per usual, which means finding more ways to make time – The Fashion Newcomer occasionally gets put on the back burner.

Today’s post is a product review:

Complete full disclosure: Her Campus reached out over the summer about trying the new Clarisonic Deep Pore Detoxifying Solution. I was curious. I actually purchased my own Clarisonic a few years go – there was a lot of hype, and while an investment, I really wanted to see what all the interest was about.

I used the product pretty inconsistently at the time so I can’t say that I reaped the full benefits. Ultimately, I stopped using it and it collected dust on a shelf. So when the opportunity to try it again came about, I was thrilled. In the years since I’ve stopped using mine, the excitement over the product hasn’t died down – so I figured this would be a genuine product review because I’ve been on both sides, and was aware of the product on my own.

For those who don’t know, a Clarisonic is a facial cleaning system that boasts the ability to remove makeup six times better than using your hands. My skin is nowhere near perfect – but removing dirt from my face seemed like a great first step towards getting it there.

After using the product, I do feel as if my skin is cleaner – obviously there is no way to know if it is, but the act of believing that my skin is thoroughly washed in itself is great.

Of course, actual effects are important (and most likely what would convince you to purchase this product). I have seen a slight improvement, although my skin has been all over the place lately – stress and poor eating causes me to breakout, two things I’m surrounded by in the college environment. Regardless, I know that the long-term benefits of using the Clarisonic are also important – it helps stop the formation of wrinkles and prepares your skin for a better future ahead.

Have you ever tried the Clarisonic? What do you think?
